Lodz Atlas Arena is located in one of the main transport hubs of the city, on the Zdrowie estate, in the vicinity of the railway and bus stations. Nearby, there are also other cultural and entertainment facilities, such as the city's ZOO, aquapark or the stadium of the Lodz Sports Club. Together, all these places create a small basin of attractions for both residents and visitors. Atlas Arena, however, clearly stands out against them with its vastness and the number of events taking place here.
The modern sports and entertainment hall was put into use in 2009. This gigantic construction has five floors erected on the plan of the circle . It is able to accommodate over 10,000 spectators in the stands and another 3,000 on the album. Several independent companies watched over the construction of Atlas Arena, which together created a postmodern architecture. The size of the building is impressive not only - the multimedia equipment of the hall is the latest technology. Building the building cost 287 million zlotys, but the investment returns in the form of huge rental income.
The multifunctional Atlas Arena hosts many national and even global events. First of all, you can see here the most important sporting events, such as athletics, gymnastics, martial arts, volleyball and basketball. There is also an ice rink where hockey games take place. In addition, a series of conferences, exhibitions, various cyclical and occasional events are organized in the hall. Atlas Arena is also known as a music scene - every year there are famous artists from around the world like Deep Purple, Bryan Adams, Slash and Imagine Dragons. The great dome on Zdrowie is currently one of the most recognizable symbols of Lodz.
